Sam Medical IO Adapter

The SAM IO adapter is designed to accommodate alternative intraosseous needles commonly used with other drivers to ensure compatibility with the SAM IO driver.

SAM IO is a manually operated intraosseous access system. Catheter placement is achieved by repeatedly pressing the driver trigger while gently guiding the needle into position. A full repetitive squeeze of the driver trigger creates a rotational motion of the needle, which combined with a gentle downward push results in controlled catheter insertion. 

Usage:

1. Attach the intraosseous needle to the adapter. The adapter locks in place around the hub of the needle. 

2. Next, attach the adapter to the SAM IO driver.

3. Next, use the system according to the instructions.

Note: The needle from the SAM IO system is not intended for use with the adapter. The SAM IO needle assembly should be attached directly to the driver without the adapter.

Caution:

Do not use the product for sternal insertion (through the sternum).

The product is not sterile.

Not all alternative needles may be compatible with the SAM IO driver - compatibility should be checked before use.

This is for single use on one patient during one procedure. Re-use is prohibited.
