SAM Medical IO Stabilizer for intraosseous access device

The SAM IO Stabilizer is an innovative retainer designed to protect the catheter from displacement. It is an element of the manual intraosseous access system, which includes: a driver, three needle sizes – 15 mm, 25 mm, 45 mm, this stabilizer, and an adapter.

It has a cylindrical shape and is designed to protect the inserted catheter from displacement.

The stabilizer is not recommended if the packaging has been damaged or opened.

It is intended for single use on one patient during one procedure. It is a product that cannot be re-sterilized.

Sterilization at the manufacturing facility by gas sterilization with ethylene oxide reliably eliminates any microorganisms, thereby ensuring medical sterility.

Not intended for use on the sternum.

Needs protection from light sources and moisture.

Application:

Carefully place the sterile stabilizer, securing the catheter to the skin, and only then, if necessary, attach the extension to the catheter;

Note that the design of the extension allows the catheter to be secured with one hand;

If the extension is already attached, gently pass it through the stabilizer cylinder to secure the catheter to the patient's skin;

To secure, make sure the catheter is in the center of the stabilizer. Then, while holding the stabilizer in one position, gently pull the tab to remove the paper protection from the adhesive backing. Gently press the exposed adhesive to the patient's skin and smooth it to ensure secure contact and attachment. Repeat the same with the second tongue.
